Location: Winter Harbour is located on the North West corner of Vancouver Island. South of Cape Scott and North of Brooks Peninsula. At the mouth of Quatsino Sound.
How to Get there:
Drive in... From Port Hardy 75km on well marked and maintained gravel road - Average travel time is 1 1/2 hours - allow 2 hours if you are pulling a boat or travel trailer.
You will pass thru the town of Holberg ( 50km from Port Hardy) which has a small store, gas station and Restaurant from Holberg - 25km to Winter Harbour.
Boat in... From Coal Harbour
Coal Harbour is a 20 minute drive from Port Hardy on paved road. Coal Harbour has an excellent concrete launch ramp and SECURE TRUCK AND TRAILER STORAGE. Winter Harbour is a 45 - 60 minute boat ride from Coal Harbour.
